The Polk SR-H1000 SIRIUS component tuner is a quality rack-mountable unit that will integrate into your home receiver system providing you with the best possible sound quality available from a SIRIUS Satellite Radio. "Plug & Play" or portable SIRIUS receivers use headphone amplifiers which can result in noise and distortion. The SR-H1000 has an audio pre-amp section which is incredibly quiet to ensure that you get the crystal clear digital audio that you should expect from SIRIUS Satellite Radio. With the optical digital output, you can connect to the digital input on your home receiver / amplifier with the supplied 40" optical digital cable. If you don't have a component with digital inputs, you can use the standard RCA analog outputs.
There are several other unique features of the SR-H1000. With the addition of a SIRIUS Connect Home Tuner (sold separately), you can create a second, independent SIRIUS zone for listening to two separate SIRIUS stations simultaneously in different rooms with just the single antenna. Another nice feature is the ability to display channel, artist, and song title information on your TV screen which you can connect with a standard RCA video cable (not included). This is especially convenient when your components are in a hidden location such as an audio closet or a different room.
The SR-H1000 also has the ability to pause and replay up to 44 minutes of live SIRIUS programming which you can manage from the remote control. In addition to all of these great features, you still get 30 channel presets, GameZone™, GameAlert™, One-Touch Jump™ Button, Replay™, & S-Seek™.
